On Wednesday, February 15, 2023, Elizabeth Friedman, CEO of Sāfen Medical, was honored with two awards from The Louise H. Batz Patient Safety Foundation. The first award, The Weezie’s Angel Healthcare Hero Award, recognized 12 individuals in healthcare settings who go above and beyond in caring for patients, creating awareness, and advocating for patient safety. The second award, the J. Pat O’Connell Technology and Innovation Award singled out Mrs. Friedman and her team at Sāfen for the innovative design and technology behind their patented intravenous (IV) line labeling system.
